What's Your Excuse?

I have found the key to making excuses is to be preemptive. Once you fail, it is too late to make excuses!
My excuse making starts as I prepare for a climb:
1) As I put on my harness I may mention that is feels tight, and that my ass looks fat in it.
2) As I put I my shoes I will complain of discomfort.
3) While roping up I will establish all the negatives about the weather, and loud gumbies that are distracting me.
I hold off remaining excuses until on the climb. That is the optimal place to solidify the most powerful excuses:
1) This hold is wet!
2) Pigsteak must have bolted this route!
3) Augh, the choss.
4) A hold must have broke!
5) What a terrible clipping stance...
6) Why didn't someone else hang the draws for me?
7) Sand everywhere!
The possibilities are endless.....

I've been a gumby longer than you've been climbing.
