I second shamis. I took up yoga a few years ago. I ditched all the crazy crap but kept the stretching and the introspection.

Pigsteak: I don't think we are talking about hatred here. When people want to talk to whos who are not that is their business. The problem materializes when they want to make school children talk to the whos and when they put "in whos we trust on coinage." There has to be a counter current, but that current does not have to be hatred.

caribe, then in the end it seems we agree more than we realize. btw, yoga without the spirit is...stretching, and we learned that in high school track

"hater" is a generic term....don't take it literally, lest you be a dogmatic bible beater.

And if I offended anyone on this thread, I apologize. As I told my good friend Rhunt, I love the debate, so I say black when you say white. And thru it all, everyone of you taught me something. For that, thanks for the lively discussion.

(now can I go vomit...where has the real Pigsteak gone?)

Number of posts.
tomdarch wrote:(By the way - would you be able to find the longest single post in # of characters? Not that I have any personal interest  )
Surprisingly, you don't hold the record, Tom! SCIN has the #1 longest post: http://www.redriverclimbing.com/viewtopic.php?t=4075 and the #2 longest post: http://www.redriverclimbing.com/viewtopic.php?t=6559

Granted, the top 5 were all "copy and paste" posts, with the top 5 being: SCIN, SCIN, "Lynne" (a little nostalgia for those who were here in those days), Alan Evil, and ray. I didn't look beyond those.

Pigsteak: Sounds like you have the good sense to be making leaving signs. Like you, I love this stuff. {picture me as Dennis Hopper in Hearts of Darkness going on about the virtues of dialectics, and yes those goddamn monkeys bite}. Offensive . . . no way . . . positive vibes breddah mon.

The recent turn of this strange and twisted thread towards yoga got me thinking about some of the enlightened individuals that I have had the good fortune to come into contact with. One of the most enlightened of these was Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati (http://www.anandaashram.org/founder.html). Guruji, as he was affectionately called by all who knew him, was a guru of gurus and was a prolific writer. This writing of Guruji (http://www.anandaashram.org/guruPurnima.pdf) speaks to the subjects of "Why do good?" and "What is God really?".

I wish I had a cool name so I could be enlightened.
