I had a strange day once driving to the Red listening to WFPL. It was strange because I heard it clear as a bell all the way to that place on the Mountain Xpressway where you see the range and then drop down. Usually it's out somewhere around Frankfort.

Does anyone here listen to satellite radio? I've got some family out in the Rockies that have it and I've got to admit it's pretty kick ass. The only problem I have is there aren't any stations that are varied enough. I like it to go from ambient to classic rock to country to jazz to bluegrass to West African...

I seem to remember that Atlanta had three or four really amazing indie radio stations ranging from techno to jazz to punk. Had to drive through there when I lived in Savannah.

Hey Rags, what's that station we were listening to that they played that bluegrass cover of that Journey song? "Don't stop believin' --hold on to that feelin', yeah, -- Don't stop believin' ohhhhhhhhh!" You know, that song. Fuckin' Journey.

You can get some classic rock on 100.1 or 92.1 while passing through Lex-Vegas.

Believe it or not, 98.3 in McCreary Co. has some of the best blues and bg I have ever heard. Their range is very short though. Kasey Chambers, Willie, Norah, Leon Russell.....lots of good stuff.

That was flanked by Tool Aenima and some Rage Against the Machine.

My Georgetown friends have some wierd musical taste.
