If you all want an easy, mutually beneficial, way to show some support for Mark, Kathy and for their continued support of the RRG climbing community, just stop by the BBQ to eat after a day of climbing. The quality of the food is outstanding, and you don't have deal with the crowds/lack of parking/excessive spray at Miguel's.

i tried to warm up there this morning, but there are signs that say "CLIMBING IS CLOSED TO NON-PAYING GUESTS"

would i be correct to assume that "non-paying guests" means those that aren't renting a room/cabin? i'd hope, but can't see, that phrase being in regard to the "donation"

I spoke with Mark and Nicole for over an hour on Saturday. I think we all know how the converstaion went.....
Gun "Hey Mark, good to see you, how goes things??
Mark " The climbing at Torrent is still the same" and" I think it's done May 1st"
Gun "no change at all???"
Mark "none I can see making me have a huge change of heart"
Gun "I hate to see it go, but do what's best for Mark"
Mark " sadly, I think I will have to close it"
Gun "sorry it turned this way"
Mark "Well I know who my freinds are"
So yes, Ho, that may be the case......

This is a sad day for climbing.

I was at the BBQ on Sunday. I was looking at all the money-making Via Ferrata folks, and all the money making BBQ customers, and thinking about all the money making cabin guests, and looking at the prices for money-making guiding services.
Now look at the non-money making climbers.
Re-read Mark's posts. Kinda conflicted. Think about what Mark has in the back of his head, but not saying, as he is writing.
I was optimistic, but Neuroshck had the right read on what has been going on in Marks mind and called this three or four weeks ago....

Don't forget that Mark offers some sort of fee-based 'climbing guiding service'....
