does anyone else find this in the least bit ironic? this thread was originally started to point out the silliness and polarization that the evolution debate has created. in the audio clip, there's a lady that uses strange logic to try to justify the teaching of creation in science class. a teacher uses the non-existence of a "cat-dog" as support for creationism. "evolution is basically a religion in itself," one student claims.
now here we are, tossing insults and accussations back and forth. we're not talking about the subject of the thread, creationism in science class. instead we're way off topic and in the end one side feels scorned and the other feels condemned. it's the same way every time. and it's sad, really. there's hardly any real discussion, only bits of it interspersed here and there. so much for the search for "truth", an end both sides claim to strive for.

excellent paul...
this thread has merely taken the typical derailed avenue that every thread takes on here. not sure it means much more than that....now, back to the justifying and posturing...

Dude, discussing religion is about as idiotic as discussing politics. You sit there banging your head against a wall and maybe you'll get lucky enough to bust through a window but even so you end up bloody and no better off.

I dont know. I think it's one of the more interesting threads on here,no matter how derailed it gets. (I have derailed more than my share just for fun) It's good that there are so many different opinions. You get to see all sides. As opossed to sitting in class or church and just hearing one side.

None of you get it. The types of "Christians" that are arguing in this thread are blind. They only see through a little bitty tiny little window and that is the extent of reality for them. They're pathetic to me and I'm pathetic to them. The Christians that aren't posting in this thread are not wearing a self-righteous "I KNOW TRUTH" badge but they're still pathetic. All of you are pathetic. Get the fuck off the computer and go climb something. I'm pathetic for sitting hear reading this tripe. Religion is your own business and all of you are WRONG.
Everybody's got to believe in something and I believe I'll have another beer.
