Dear Wes, I respect the path you are on. You may not see it yet but ultimately "pure climbing" will occur for you without rock, or any physical activity.

Alright Wes, I hope you're happy. All the way out here in Grand Junction, Kolorado, I have seen the light. Not just the constant sunshine, but the LIGHT. You're wonderful prose forced me out of my chair, down to REI, and I came out with a bouldering pad and guidebook. And very little money. But anyway, after touching the wonderful sandstone blocks of Unaweep Canyon, and the redstone boulders scattered around the golden aspens near Carbondale, I have found true love. Thanks O wise one for the direction I needed for the path less traveled.

Of course, it could be my fear of heights that has driven me to this, but you dont need to know that.
