I'd pay $10 to climb at Torrent esp if there weren't 50 dirtbags there
I most certainly would as well as I think Torrent is more than worth it, but Mark said he didn't want to be running a climbing gym.

yeah $10 is the going rate for a day use fee at climbing gyms...I'd pay it once or twice a year.

First of all to Rick Weber: My girlfriend and I visited Muir Valley on the 15th and completly fell in love with the area. We both appreciated the wonderful maintenance of the trails and the great signs! (as well as the nice climbers in the area!) Thanks! We will be back and be sure to leave the area the way we found it if not cleaner! :)

To Mark: Torrent falls was the first place I had ever climbed outside. It has many special memories for me and I can understand your feelings when people decide to be disrespectful. Enforce those guidelines. I think most climbers and hikers alike will stand behind you. Also I will encourage all my climbing friends to make generous donations as well as inform them of the new guidelines. We will do what it takes to keep a beautiful place like Torrent open.

I've posted the rules and excerpts from Mark's comments at my site.
