Yeah and only the biggest fan club in the world still running 2000 years after his reported demise, go figure!

There was a Childrens' Crusade where the Chruch actually sent a group of orphaned children to reclaim the holy land. Kids don't make the best army.

I won't split hairs but are not the catholics responsible for the Inquisition that burnt alot of protestants for herecy. I wonder what corrupted the Catholics faster, the money or the power????? Ever notice the difference in the Catholic cathederal and the Protestant chapel?

We don't have separation any more. Now my hard earned tax money is being given to shitfucks like Jerry Fallwell and Pat Robertson. I'd rather my money be used to make nuclear warheads than finance the ministries of those worthless fucking wastes of elemental particles.

ok I'll bite alan..provide me with proof your tax dollars are going to Falwell and Robertson...show me what for profit companies they run, and how they get your tax dollars instead of also contributing to the kitty....

thanks, and have a great day....

I was going to post but I don't like to be cursed or called names. Nice intelligent conversation from folks with different political views. Keep up the good work I find this very enlightening.

Oh, you get used to it, I use it as a kind of gauge for when I'm right. If your right, you don't have to curse or call names, if your wrong, well you know...Alot of people are very passionate and can't describe they're feelings without using expletives   or it's what you said about listening to the enlightened.   Everyone is much nicer in person! :P :P

you'll have to forgive alan....he only has a grudge against american religiosity being mixed with american politics....man, I'd love to see him in a country where Islam is the predominate faith, and is entrenched in politics....poor fellow would blow a gasket...

i am curently reading a book called "The End of faith"..talk about an eye opener. The author makes the case that no matter how bad religous fanatics are (of all faiths) the supposed moderates who call for "tolerance" of all faiths are the main problem in the current war. His idea is that faith should be completely wiped off the face of the political landscape, as in all of its twists and turns it has harmed so many.

He compares religous fervor with a mental disorder, and those in the "tolerant middle" as accomplices.
