i need to clarify a point though - i seconded the route i didnt lead it then clean it - so that does make a difference.

I've cleaned Ro on lead and although I recommend a TR clean (or leave a biner), this particular route can be cleaned on lead without broken bones. I had a professional on belay though - that could be the difference.

I've led and then down cleaned it a couple times. It is not easy and definitely has to be done professionally on both ends of the rope. I've seen many an experienced leader have an exciting experience on that clean.

If you think there's no potential for drama, you haven't done it, but your comments as always are completely useful and encouraged, whether you have a clue about anything or not.

I have never been on reaux, but I saw someone one time TR'ing it. Where can I hire one of those "professionals" y'all speak of? Isn't professional defined as getting paid for said activity? If that is true, are we saying meadows and charlie have to pay for partners. And didn't Spitzer pay for a partner?

KD...are you sure you aren't a noob? You did not clean it on rap..please see the pigsteak corollary playbook for the proper terms to use when spraying about said accomplishments. doing an anchor transfer and then rapping is about as exciting as another britney saga....can you relate?

and josi, please refrain from any third hand "this is what I saw" explanations. it lands you completely back in noob territory without even trying.

btw, if I ever do get on reaux (learn how to spell psuedo french not really root names ladies) I will donate a biner for cleaning ....but ionly if krampus is next in line.

I'll be there for sure, and just so you know flatlander, you may live here now but until you learn to spell and pronounce things the kentucky way, you will be an outsider (honerary SIFO). Spell it like it sounds and sound it like its spelled. ro sham po, and Versailles are perfect examples
