I was very glad to have a good belayer who was able to yard in two arm lengths of rope before I got to the bottom of teh fall. Honestly thought it wasn't bad cus I knew when I placed it that it was unlikely to hold so when I came off, I was mentally prepared to fall a long way

i didn't really have a sucky belayer. in his defense, i got on a route over my head in order to push myself to the point where i would fall. so we both knew starting out that i would be coming off at some point - it was just a matter of when. but i do kinda suspect he threw out a bit of extra slack to make the ride more exciting!

ooh ooh the fall on Super Slab trying to clip the crux bolt. Thats some scary shit right there no matter who you are, 20' pendulum. Took that like 5 or 6 times in a row one day. Have yet to get back on it!

A took a 35 footer in the gym. The anchor clipping hold spun as I was clipping and my numb-nuts partner had his pinkie on the GriGri cam. I bounced off the wall at a buldge then panicked and grapped the other end of the rope that was going up. Luckily my hand came loose then it hit the next quickdraw. I stopped 2 feet short of the ground when he finally let up on the cam but my burnt hand looked like microwaved chicken. If I had fallen 10 feet lower I would have decked really hard. He's not my belay partner anymore.

i decked at the gym once, so i guess that was 30 feet...it was a "soft" deck though, felt like i was hopping off a boulder problem

Oh yeah, I was fine, nothing but a few scrapes on the back of my hand. One day I will figure out this trad stuff. I hope I wasn't too loud.
