Steve - you work at a TV station right? Yeah, I loved my time at WCPO - I think newsrooms are still the only place where you can get away with some crazy shit. Talk about sexual harrassment, everyone at my station would have been fired.

Doubt it. Most nights are like 30 minute outtakes.

but more seriously, if I leave, I'm pretty sure the clients will move over on their own. Plus, there are plenty of people I could have deposed to explain why this seems like a necessary move. If the clients are willing to pay me more for better quality service, that kills the normal basis for the idea that I 'stole' them. Still, I do plan on getting legal advice!
My best man is in the investment industry - he just jumped firms, took $1mil of clients with him. Of course the old firm is suing, but he had the foresight to contact an attorney and find out exactly what he could and couldn't do legally.
