teh difference between me and tomdarch - He seems to think teh system could even things up by knowingly pursuing false charges againt innocent white people, just like it does againtst minorities. I think we could even things up by never knowingly pursuing false charges againt anyone, regardless of skin color. But, I guess I'm just a heartless neocon, surely his approach would be much more sensitive to teh feelings (desire for revenge) of teh oppressed.

How do you propose we even things out? Just let the good, honest law enforcement officials continue to work as they have? We all know that blacks are much worse people or else the cops wouldn't arrest them so much more frequently than whites. But we don't want to offend our honorable cops by insisting they're mostly racist assholes looking to fuck up a nigger because they've got a small prick and their wife hates them. The problem with your approach is you want to deny there's any problems in our justice system and you ignore the basic facts about incarceration rates that scream that racism is ingrained in the law enforcement culture. Anyone that says there is a problem is somehow anti-American and lying.

We now have the highest percentage of our population behind bars than any government in the history of the world and it's mostly minorities on non-violent charges. You don't think that calls for reform or srutiny? Or would you just rather impune the people that are willing to call a spade a spade?

To answer your question as to how we assure that rogue DAs don't knowingly pursue false charges against the innocent. It's called accountabiility, and the public can hold a DA accountable. Nifong's prosecutorial misconduct has been meticulously noted by a number of interested citizens. This misconduct has been brought to the attention of the state bar, and Nifong is currently under investigation. At this point he's lied to the bar, repeatedly, in a pathetic attempt to hold on to his license to practice law. I doubt that the state bar is amused. You can read all about it on the web. My main source of information is liberal history professor K C Johnson, not Fox News.

You know, just some advise, take it if you will. You should copy your posts, show them to a good mental health professional, and see if they might be able to help. It must be a miserable place inside your head.

I don't think I've ever refrained from presenting an argument as opposed to merely belittling and/or impuning the opposition's point.
