Does it really have an expiration clause? It's still dangerous for posterity, though, don't you think? If something like this passed once, who's to say the next in line won't pass something similar? It seems like they've set a pretty dangerous precedent.gunslnga wrote:what good can come of this if it has an expiration clause after he's dethroned???

Precedent? Who knows. The Court will eventually have to rule on it. One part of it has already been tested and found wanting. The supreme court has already ruled in a different case that U.S citizenship cannot be revoked without due process.
More than this legislation the abuse of the signing statement is actually more important and serious since it is an appropriation of legislative power.

And how cliche of you to insult me for a view of mine (a sarcastic one none the less) instead of creating a valid rgument against it. And those better men you speak of, I'm sure that if they were to look at this new legislation they would be just as horrified as I am.On second thought, Canada may be the place for you, just one less wasted vote that better men than yourself have paid the ultimate price for
Read earlier in the post and you'll see that I(veteran) am against this and any of this type of legislation. as far as an attack, in this case it may be un-justified, and I apologise (sarcastic or not) however I do feel that running off to Canada, is an act of cowardice, that many before you have said and meant, and I will not back down on that stance....dyno_heaven wrote:And how cliche of you to insult me for a view of mine (a sarcastic one none the less) instead of creating a valid rgument against it.
