I agree with gretchen the fa's should have the right to rename them. I know if one of the new lines I put up was legal and the forest service passed it , and then someone renamed it later with out talking with me about it, I would be pissed.

As long as we're discussing the renaming of routes because the names are 'objectionable', how about a Taliban/Ashcroft theme? "Sex Show" could become "Local Community Standards Set by the Loudest and Most Intimidating Local Christian Fundamentalists Governs What Can be Performed in Area Theaters"? Kind of rolls off the tounge, doesn't it? Perhaps "Pocket Pussy" could become "Wicked and Satanically Temping Female Organs Must be Hidded Under a Burka or She Will be Beaten to Death With Sticks!"

Yes, some of the names aren't really condusive to polite discussion. It does seem that the people who made the effort and expense to put in bolts should have first crack at re-naming the routes in deference to the land owners.

sex show = discovery channel
Pocket Pussy = lady latex
Poopie Head = Poopie Head
Stool Sample = Chair Copy
Rectal Exorcism = Turtle's at the door
Ode to Poopie Head = Ode to Poopie Head

While we are at it, can we change "Kick me in the Jimmie"? That has always made me cringe when I read it.

Can we rename Renaldo's route's other than at torrent too?

The owner of torrent is nice enough to let people climb there,eventhough he is taking a huge liability risk. Why not name the climbs after him and his family or the torrent facilities.
