"jealous of our prosperity"? amusted maybe but probably not jealous. Coming here is probably a lot like going to Disney World or the Las Vegas strip. Great place to visit...

lol...now lurkist, surely you jest...

the union guys who want more pay, more benefits and less work...shame on you...can't a man get a good living wage anymore? why, the democrats prey on this notion that they'll save America by protecting unions....so liberal rhunt, you a union lover, or are you undermining your own party? how dare you buy foreign...

now, if I remember correctly, a certain honda worker used to mention thinking of living in Vegas....did you forget that?

Piggies piggies piggies...it goes right over your head sometimes. Unions suck! Gary is a employment attorney and I hear stories all the time about all the crap he has to deal with working with unions. One particular company he represents(an Italian co. that brougth job to the US) has been force to take their buisness to Mexico because the of the union. Once upon a time unions were a good thing for this country but not anymore. Ask the Lurkist, he seems to know what I am talking about.

How can you call me a liberal and a democrat in the same sentence? Which is it? You tell me. Last time I checked with myself I did not consider myself either.

I'd love to live near Vegas. My point about Vegas and Disney World is what went completely over your head.

democrate..I like it...

so are you upset at the democratic party for supporting unions hook line and sinker?

are you upset at the republicans for supporting white collar/big business hook line and sinker?

both positions suck. union have destroyed this country after first saving it 50 years ago.....

but then religous conservatives are destroying it now..either falwell's conservatives or al-qaida's conservatives...you pick, depending on your political affiliation.

I did miss it. My wife says the unique thing about America is that being so large, we have many diverse ecosystems and climates to choose from. You can go to the beach, the desert, and the mountains all in the same state. Many smaller countries do not have the same array of beauty that we have....but we all know, the grass is always greener....

I am not upset about either issue. You know the issues that are important to me but that's for another thread on another day.

Yes i compeltely agree we have one of the most beautiful diverse ecosystems in the world.

I've met quite a few Italians (in college, all my friends were foreign) who enjoyed being here.

Rhunt: Are you offering an opinion from the company's POV or from the worker's?

company's, because it then travel down to the employees from there. The union works at the company I used as an example, ran their own jobs to mexico. The union workers were causing the company millions of dollar in legal fees from constantly filing grievences and such. The owner tried everything to work things out with the union but in the end he had no choice. Crazy part is he came to the US (Cland) saved a dying company and jobs only to be force out by those same employees. He in-sourced jobs to the US then got shit on by the union and now he's taking his money to Mexico.

Sure workers love the union! They have no idea how much it cost the owner. Just an example of the usual lazy american work eithic....we are entitled to everything on a silver platter and if we don't get it we cry and file grivences.

don't me wrong here... I am not trying to come off as some US hater(God forbid). I am just sick of this blind post 911 flag waving crap and the notion that I should be a patriot just simple because I was born in the USA. This country is a great country no doubt, yet it is not the greatest(esp in 2006).

Try working in a unionized factory. You might change your mind.
