Once we camped out on top of Courthouse Rock. It was a beautiful summer night, and in the morning there was a sea of clouds below us, with only the high points of the gorge showing above the clouds. It was really cool, a place of such serene beauty, reminded me of those mountain scenes in Chinese water colors. Then the sun rose out of the clouds to illuminate the day, and it was mind blowing. We started the day by stretching in the sun and doing some yoga. All was perfect and beautiful with the world.
My buddy had some black Afghani hash, so we thought that maybe this was as good a time and place as any to smoke some. We sat on the edge of the cliff where the drop off was vertical, fired up the pipe and passed it around. I took a big hit and held it in. It was really expando stuff, and my lungs felt like they would burst. The scenery started to "strobe", and then things started to black out from the margins, like stopping down the iris in a camera lens. As my vision shrank down to a tunnel view of the world, I lost control of my body, crumpled, and pitched head first off the cliff. Just below where I'd been sitting there was a tree root growing out of a crack, and somehow I grabbed it with my left hand and stopped my fall. I pulled myself back up, looked at one of my buddies, and said, "sorry man, I dropped your pipe."
It's only science.

My point is, there is not a death certificate in this country (or the world as far as I know) that has pot as the cause of death.

On top of that, a guy that gets caught with a few pounds, enough to safely assume commercial purposes, is likely to go to jail for as long as a murderer. Possibly longer. Something is not right there.

I'm curious as to why this tidbit is important if true. Everything I know is anecdotal, but what about coordination? or decision processes?Alan Evil wrote:one of the things they found in their test on pot was that reaction time actually increased, even to really scary doses of pure THC.
Sounds like a quick uncoordinated action is a good definition of spastic.
I'm for legalization, but I wonder about that dangling out there as a plus, so link me to some science behind the stuff that you feel comfortable with.
I don't think pot has any effect on coordination, unless it actually helps....Have you ever hacky sacked
Also, I have never woken up in a strage bed wondering how I got there and who was under the covers next to me after a night of binge toking.

How you compare may not be as important as to whom you are compared
The tests were pretty comprehensive hand/eye coordination tests including putting shaped pegs in holes and pushing buttons in rapid order. The test subjects reported feeling they were screwing up and going slow but (especially at low doses) there was improvement in coordination and reaction time. Like I said, they had to get up to THC levels where they were literally passing out (eating hash can get you there but not smoking pot no matter how strong).gulliver wrote:I'm curious as to why this tidbit is important if true. Oddly enough, very low level doses of LSD give amazing improvements in coordination, memory, color, sound and taste perception, as well as reaction time. There was consideration of using it on fighter pilots and ground soldiers to help in combat.
