I fired myself last summer for underbidding a deck. Unfortunately I had to hire myself back on to do the next job. Stupid jobs.

I think I'll fire myself this morning, go have a day out on the rocks because I just lost my job (poor pitiful me... blah blah blah...) and then hire myself back Monday morning.... Now let me go hang some mistletoe from my back belt loop and tell the boss to......

Hell, civilian life. Our "bosses" tell us we're "the biggest pussies to ever walk the face of the earth," "I don't care about your fucking knees, suck it up and drive on!" (that guy actually had a broken tibia) "Only old men and women have hip problems, suck it up and drive on" (broken hip) "It's just walking, it's not like you've got two broke feet! What the hell's wrong with you?" (he did have two broken feet) "Everyone's back hurts, just suck up the pain and drive on!" (slipped disc, several surgeries to go) I suppose I could go on. "why the hell are you smiling 32? Did 33 say he'd stick it in your ass?" "Shut your cock clamps!" "Raise your dick beaters" Just a few of the quaint phrases associated with our subculture. Ahh, the Army. Where' it's fun to be a kid.

Drink water and drive on

My boss comes from a military background. I think that's where he gets his leadership ideas. That shit really doesn't fly in the corporate world where we can just go get a job somewhere else. Leadership in the corporate world should be positive and non fear based.
