The only way I know to kill kudzu....is to prevent it from entering the area. It sucks ass.

Good idea about the pesticide Rick. One thing to watch for if we get involved in removing the kudzu is to know how the seeds are transported. I know kudzu is easily transported. We should learn how so that we don't move it elsewhere, in trying to help Mark.

I think it is transported by dog do do. Where-ever you see the evil weed you see dogs.

Well that's good news. Dakota's food is a special food for outdoor dogs that contains a natural herbicide. It kills any organic seed that could pass through and keeps it from germinating.

Hate to bring y'all back to the subject of the thread but it would be helpful on the trail day to have people bring empty drywall buckets for hauling dirt & rocks.

Also, just as a reminder the trail day is tomorrow, Sat. March 11th. We will be getting started around 10 am. Anyone who doesn't want to spend the whole day working feel free to stop on by and at least put in a couple of hours.

I've been temped to burn that stuff once or twice, but I'm afraid it would get just a bit out of control as it goes uphill. It almost makes me cry when I see just how much damage that stuff has done in some of those areas. I'd had the see the Falls look like a desert in a few years if all the native vegetation gets killed.
