oh that reminds me of a great guy excuse while climbing cracks:
"i can't do the bottom of the inhibitor because my hands are too big" now that's definitely me
of course, on the other hand (no pun intended

) i'll hear the same from girls: "i can't jam/finger lock because my hands/fingers are too small"

I think there is some legitimate size excuses...but there are ways to overcome them too, I guess if you are going to complain because you're too small/too big to do it, then you shouldn't be climbing anyway because you like to whine too much.
BUT - it is frustrating to see some people reach thru a tough spot with ease where I have to get up there and find intermediate sucky holds instead of just reaching up to the nice jug to clip from....AND cleaning gear behind a tall person sucks. That's why I always liked climbing with Ynot.

My excuse is generally "I just fucked up".

"I can't climb for shit"
But hey who cares. I'm having fun so it doesn't matter.

I've also heard tall climbers say that the route was "too bunched up" for them.
I've used the "I got dirt in my eyes and couldn't see" excuse a few times.
Today I fell off of a route because the bottom of my shoe ripped open and created a huge hole as I was trying to step up onto a high foothold. Of course, I blamed it on the shoe (even though I probably should have been able to hang on).
