Meaning...
The run I'm about to go on will cancel out the half a Butterfinger Crisp I'm eating tonight with Ray.

I'm terrible about counting calories. Of course, I also refuse to weigh myself. Since 25-years of age or so I've been hovering around 140 pounds. When I was 18, I weighed 115 and wore a size 2. Big freaking deal. Yeah, I wouldn't mind being 10 pounds thinner. But I have a hard time being happy when I'm freaking out about my eating habits all the time. So, I stay 10 pounds heavier than I'd prefer but generally happy with my one bad thing a day habit. Today it was a bag of cheetos for lunch. Yummy.

Oh did I mention that tomorrow I'll change my mind and go on a diet? I'm fickle that way.

yeah, i feel you on the diet thing. it gets really old trying to keep in line for a really long time.. i think here and there you need rewards or at least "rest days", just like climbing. half the time i feel so sick after indulging that i never want to do it again. the other night after a certain cappuccino pie, chocolate mousse, pineapple crisp, and brownie cake i thought i'd never want to see sugar or a sugar containing product again. so before i over-eat i usually try to remind myself that i'll just feel sick if i eat too much stuff anyway.. that helps.. sometimes.. unless it's butterfinger crisp

Or - you could just go on the Herion Diet...that usually makes you nice and thin...
Simple things make a big difference too, you probably don't drink much soda to begin with, but if you cut your liquid intake to just water, it's amazing how much weight you will lose. I would have a hard time giving up tea (love an iced chai) and beer.
If you get chronic headaches, cut out the bread for awhile, you would be amazed at what it will do for your poor aching head.
OR as Mitch says:
"That would be cool if you could eat a good food with a bad food and the good food would cover for the bad food when it got to your stomach. Like you could eat a carrot with an onion ring and they would travel down to your stomach, then they would get there, and the carrot would say, 'It's cool, he's with me.'"
In other ramblings, Joe gets mad because I have a sweet tooth, so if I buy ice cream, he eats it all so I won't...yeah now he has a little belly and it makes him mad...haha, I showed him didn't I. 8)
I think if you just keep the climbing up and the sweets at a moderate level, you can eat what you want really. I lost 40 pounds since moving to Vegas and my climbing went from every once in awhile to 4 days a week. I have slowed down now, but my metabolism has been given a second chance in life.

I agree on the liquid thing...drink only water as your beverage, and you will lose weight . Pop adds so much calories..I am living proof.
I have seen diets that recommend having a "free day" to eat whatever you want, and the other 6 days you stick toyour schedule. That one day is 100% open to eat as much of any food you want.

Its sad that those of us who lead a healthy lifestyle are the freaks of society. Where I work, everyone is constantly eating donuts, candy, chips, and they order food almost every day. They look at me like I am the disgusting fat one when I refuse 90% of their crap. Michelle, you were normal 50 years ago, only now has society passed you by. Try not to think of living healthyfully as dieting. Eating as much of everything you want is no different than any other lack of self control.
