Yep, there's this special thing about other people's dogs/kids. It's the same reason why I love my nephews, I can drop them off when I get tired of them.

There's this very special kind of hatred a person can only have for their own dog that I'm sure Rhino knows all about. It's hard to hate other people's dogs the same way cause they really aren't your problem. A crag dog is a problem that's there every day, every hour, every house you get, every walk you take, every car ride to the crag, every lead, every belay, every boulder trip.

But if you're in to that, good luck......

You should offer him a choice - make you happy with a puppy, or make you sad without one. Come on Rhino, step up. You know how much fun blue, solar, river, etc are. Just do it, it will be fun!

Thanks Charlie:)

I love dogs, but I don't need/want one now. The dog in question is very cute and friendly and will make someone a great pet.

it is true that the dog in question is very cute and friendly and will make someone a great pet. (sorry sarah for hijacking your thread)

it would be hard to be sad around rhino (even though he denies us the wonderfulness of Suzie) i mean, honey, you are getting me a perriwinkle blue toyota tacoma for my birthday. i suppose i'll have to trade having a dog for a truck. :D

Rhino totally needs a dog. The way he gets along great with Benny just proves it even more! Only the first year or two puppies are a pain. Then they mellow out. But I do have the benefit of leaving Benny in the van while I'm hanging out at concerts, parties whatever. But he loves it. Its his home. VA, I told Scott when he didn't want a dog, that he should consider himself lucky that I wanted a dog & not a kid like most women I know my age. We soon had a dog.

Artsay, I'm glad I'm not the only person who loves to torture and exhausted dog. Paybacks are a bitch!!

Uhh, If you want a dog Va I think that would be great. I hope I have enough time with the constraints of work to give both you and the dog the attention you deserve. (Kneebar, was that last part over the top?)
