Man, I must've missed something today.
There's a lot to read here and it's hurting my brain right now. Am I supposed to ban someone or something?

On the work point, I was at work when I got nailed. Thats why everytime I think about someone using the link I about fall out of my seat laughing. I can see myself trying to turn off my speakers, cover my screen, figure out how to turn the damn thing off, and try not to look at the picture all at the same time. It wasnt meant to start all of this, but I'm glad it did. Its one of the first time moderation has been talked about by more than a few people. We can see how the majority feels. Keep the sucks forum open, and let the other areas stay about how they are now.

Keep it to the flame room & post if it contains explicit material. I work in a government setting so they do the moderating for you!
Just genuinely disengenuous.

Did the thread 'The Gift' start in the flame board or was it moved? If it was moved ,I think it was borderline. Just for a topic like this I think even non-registered guests should have access. There might be more to say there. Would there ever be a way of fairly moderating a post without moderating the whole thing?

The board is about climbing , but it's about climbers also and some of us wouldn't make the best babysitters, police officers, priests etc. Overall I think they've done a good job.

This forum is closed to non-members because I didn't want to post our house directions to the public. I wrote that in a post but a moderator took it out! HA!

It'll be back to viewable to all on Saturday. Sorry if it bugged anyone. I'm getting paranoid in my old age, I guess.

I may have been misunderstood, I'm refering to the flame boards being open to everyone or not in my previous post.

Based on this poll, this thread and the other thread in the flame forum:

1 - we will moderate language outside of the flame forum a little more strictly and consistently (just a little). Please keep it cleaner than it has been. You know which words you don't need to use. There are enough people who are not happy with the moderation that we need to consider their experience here.

2 - porn links (links only, not actual images) are permitted in the flame forum **only with a warning** out of consideration for people reading this BBS from their place of business.

3 - do not post ANY links that cause windows to open which cannot be readily closed or which run otherwise malicious code.

Note that the flame forum has never been moderated and will not be moderated. Access to the flame forum will not be restricted, but RAY IS GOING TO TAKE IT OFF THE 24 HOUR SEARCH FEATURE, AREN'T YOU RAY?

Thank you everyone for your input.

Yea, I've looked at it and believe it or not it's a little more difficult than you would think. I'll figure it out though.

Well, thanks to our resident code pro Jack, the Suck forum is now excluded from the View Last 24 Hours search. Jack is the man.
