speaking of climbing walls, getting fit and all, has anyone read the article in the recent Climbing by Pat Ament? To sumerize, it is a reflective peice by Ament on how bouldering was in the late 60's when he and Gill were at the height of their powers.
What floored me was his description of his workouts. Jesus! he was clearly coming at the sport from a gymnastic background, but still... That sounds like a sick workout. And the how he described basically everyone ding one arm pull ups and one and two finger pull ups. Those guys were strong.

and then gill blew his bicep straight off the bone and proclaimed, "i think i pulled something." a testament to the dangerous nature of being too strong..
i still really like gill's thought on sending a problem. he said that, for him, a problem wasn't really done unless it was done smoothly.. and it wasn't a problem unless it was dynamic.

Any idea what the Italian holds are? I love Voodoo, and if the Italians are better, then I'm very, very interested!
(Also, speaking of unexpected generosity, the Chancelor brothers threw in a bunch of cool, useful bonus 'seconds' in my order - great holds, great guys!)

I need roof jugs for my woody. What do you experts recommend that won't break the bank?

Sandy - Stoneage Holds. Good bang for the buck.
Tom - The tallest point of our scissor vaulted ceiling is 14.5 ft. We only built to 13ft or so, though, and that feels plenty high enough even with 14" of padding to land on.
No idea on the holds. They're super sweet, though. Definitely a mystery to us...and a fun one too.
Voodoo holds are sweet as hell! We're putting in an order for some of those next week too. Ahhh...Buddha Belly....
