We'll probably take trip to the Gunks this summer or fall since my brother lives about an hour from there.

I'd also like to climb Liberty Ridge on Mt. Rainier, Devils Tower (again), or the Tetons to name just a few places.

Shelf Road, Co is a great summer climbing location. So is Maple Canyon and the Cottonwoods.

W/o question the NW. Liberty Bell area and Squamish. .Then hit Skaha and Banff.
Squamish is easily the cheapest and most convienent place around. I spent the entire summer there last year and was always mixing it up b/t sport, trad and bouldering.. And if you do it right.. you never have to worry about crowds.

I have to question the gunks. Isn't that end of NY state kinda hot in the summer?

Gunks are hot and expensive! REALLY expensive. the free camping is totally cool if you want to have to fend off dirty hippies trying to bum food and beer. not to mention the theft that goes on down there. Great climbing but the summer aint the time to go. .
