If you're a newbie and you just redpointed it, then it's 12a. But if you're an old crusty who speaks for the embitterment of the climbing newbies, it's 11c/d.

i don't think it is the most controversial climb in the red. the grade may be the most contested but not controversial.

For two years my hardest red point was also my hardist onsite 11b. :cry: but It dosent matter to me. I guess my onsite abbility has gone up, but then agen I only boulder now. So my hardest onsite would be V5 and hardist problome is Sigone and they change the rating almost every year. V6 whin I did it now its back up to V7? WTF? But serosly folks go to the buttermilks and try Sigone, its the shit.

i thought that "Saigon" was V5 and "Saigon Direct" was V7 (not from personal experience--from a guidebook)

the Direct variation doesn't make the traverse rightward?
