And his sense of decorum brings a touch of class to our lives.

If it weren't for Matt, outsiders might feel welcome at the Red.

I would agree with the name already mentioned. With your permission, I would like to add a few.
Throw in John Haight (Grant Stephens climbing partner) who is working with Grant on perserving one of the greatest climbing areas in the world. John is one of the best climbers I have ever met and I consider it a privage to have him as a friend.
And what about Tim Powers, a great climber who sometime gets overlooked. He has a great number of routes to his name and has a nack for putting up great routes.
Or what about Mike and the whole Bruise Bother's gang who helped established the cultural "tradidions" of "trad".
We are truly blessed with a rich history of over 30 years. Damn I'm getting old.

All of the above, but let us not froget Mark and Kathy at Torrent, one of the best crags around.
Thanks to you all!

Team Muir should be mentioned -- they've gotten up over a hundred routes in one year!

Hey Hoyne, it's all your fault! You started it by putting up the first one there!

OK, I'll play dumb (no too hard). What is Mr Stephens up to that I don't know about, but will affect me for a very very long time?

Grant, an early climber and route developer in the Red and Lexington attorney, recently purchased land containing the "Roadside" climbing area. Stay tuned for climber-friendly announcements.
Incidentally, the gorges of Roadside and Muir Valley mirror each other across the ridge that KY 715 follows. Miles apart by road; a few thousand feet apart as the crow flies.

I was going to make a lawyer joke, but I'll let that pass....
Its pretty cool that climbers are buying crags - RRGCC, Muir, and now this. Sweet.
