'04 goals: I don't think I set out any climbing specific goals at the beggining of the year, I was wondering if I would every be able to walk again after breaking my knee in Red Rocks days before New Years. However, I am walking again and, after nearly pooping my pants on a 5.7, I have regained my lead head, even if it has to be nestled in a helmet.

So even though goals weren't made, accomplishments still came:
-escaping for a month long road trip to Colorado and Utah
-finally climbed at the Red
-sent a 5.11, then a 5.12a a week later
-Onsighted 5.11
-sent all the routes on the .11 wall at Torrent

'05 goals:
-start Trad climbing
-send Orgasam Direct (5.11c) at Devil's Lake, WI
-send a 5.12c by the end of the year

..but WAIT!!! the year isn't over, there are still a few weekends left as this past weekend so perfectly showed.

Yeh, I'm about to send my first V9!!! I can't wait to get the opportunity to redpoint 5.5 sport, then life will be peachy.

If you can do V4, then you should be able to knock out at least 5.11 sport, 5.10 trad. Many of the easier to mid .12's in the red don't have moves harder then v4.

I really think this is the year for a 5.13 for me. Just have to pick the right one and pick up the training a couple notches. Sucks that my killer training / weekday climbing partner had to move. :(
