So sparky, are you wondering what it feels like once it has been weighted?
I place my #7-#10 hexes quite often in the Red. Maybe it's because I don't have doubles of the #2 and #3 camalot. I placed every hex I had on the first pitch of the South Buttress of Pingora where cams would have been far less quality placements due to the nature of the cracks. They're light, wide, and bomber if you place them right.

I have Metoliuos fatcams and the stems are semi rigid.acouple have gotten bent out of shape from falling and wieghting them. Its about the only thing I dont like about them.Even the tiny ones are bomber. I have been using hexes alot less this year.I still think its important to be proficient in using them, they can be handy when you run two pitches together and need the multiple size.

I have only one Alien, it's roughly equivalent in size to a #1 Camalot. I take it up almost every lead and use it...a lot. I'll eventually get some more when my gear budget exists again. I also use my hexes a lot, there's not much that seems more sloid to me, of course I don't lead overhanging routes, which I think would make a difference.

I have a couple old rigid friends (tied off short of course) and when I place one of them i really dig it. They inspire me like only my camalots ususally do. They just feel bomber.

It's always been my opinion that you simply CAN'T have enough red tricams oh and don't forget the orange aliens!

Pink and Red Tricams are the best! I've got three of each. Then two of each for the next couple sizes. Didn't get into the really big ones. Love TCU's.
