Holy shit... Eden Park sucks?? That's it. I'm done there. Sorry Spuzo, you'll have to find someone who's not as cool as me and can bring themselves down to Eden Park's level... maybe they'll climb with you at that piece of shit place.

That's right, because for climbing indoors, the gym is sweet. But for climbing outdoors, I am sorry to say...Eden park is a piece of crap. It may be real rock, but it is still man made. Why not climb in the gym(also man made) and get a better workout with more options for pushing your physical limits in any area you want?

Because it costs money to get into the gym, and it costs some people more gas money to drive to the gym. Why spend more money to be indoors when you can spend no money to be outdoors?

It's not a matter of bring one's self down to a lower level...it's about wanting to climb routes that are good(i.e bouldering at CT, or routes at RQ). You assume I think I am above everyone else...well, from your post and your attitude, it would appear you think you are above me and therefore above everyone else. Way to be top dog Yas. Hope you don't get too lonely up there

Make a small commitment to buying a monthly($58.85), quarterly($144.45), or yearly($481.50 which when broken down to a per month basis is only $40 bucks a month) and then you can come in as many times a week, month whatever as you want. You still spend money on gas getting to Eden Park...don't you?

Good point... I'm not the one ending each and every one of my negative posts by rolling my eyes at the world, though. Might wanna consider that next time you think you're calling someone out for being pretentious. This game of you think you're better than me because you're telling me I think I'm better than you could go on forever.

Sure I spend money on driving to Eden Park, when the weather's nice. When it's not, I go to the gym. I like being outside, it's just personal preference. I know some people who've told me they could be perfectly happy climbing inside every day of their lives and never touching rock, so one of the yearly memberships would be great for them. For me, dropping in on college or ladies' night here or there when it's cold or wet outside is the better way to go as far as saving money. Also, you're not going to change people's minds on this by slamming them and rolling your eyes at them. If they want to climb in the gym, they will. If they don't, they won't.
