Just because the RRGCC closes on the land, nothing changes in the short term. The policy was, and still is voluntary avoidence of all crags on the Murray property. Reread Shannon's post and please help by not causing more trouble.

This cracks me up.
{Climb up on Gretchen's soapbox} Reading some of these replies, one would think that the writer was a child. The name calling, threats, and down right obstinant comments really do show your mental age. It is time to start acting your physical age for once.
It is very simple to understand: The RRGCC has asked the climbing community to stay away from the Southern Region until things have been ironed out. This will take some time and they have asked politely to please be patient. We are in the last few plays of this game and it would be a shame to have something blow up due to the selfish actions of a few. Too much time, money, effort, and hard work have gone into this process to screw it up now.
There is over 700 miles of cliff line in the entire area so I'm sure there are a few places that will provide some new challenges. Take Jeff's suggestion above and "get adventurous". You may happen to stumble upon the next climbing area sensation.

I hope to get back on some routes over at Purple Valley this weekend if the weather cooperates. 8)

You know, I don't think its a lot to ask for some sort of time table on events. If we wont be able to climb on the land when we own it, then when will we be able to climb on it. If not in the month of January, will we be able to climb in the month of February . How about this spring? Will we be able to climb there this year? Is it that hard to project a date of ensured access? Honestly, do we need Charlie oil's permission to climb on land that we own? Feel free to answer that.

pa·tience
1. The capacity, quality, or fact of being patient.
Synonyms: patience, long-suffering, resignation, forbearance
These nouns denote the capacity to endure hardship, difficulty, or inconvenience without complaint. Patience emphasizes calmness, self-control, and the willingness or ability to tolerate delay: Our patience will achieve more than our force (Edmund Burke).

Well Dirt, being the amount of personal impact that you have contributed to the over all effort of obtaining the Southern Region on the behalf of the enitre climbing community, I PERSONALLY feel that now is not the time to divulge a time line. Who the hell are you to be so damanding?

What is wrong with you? Cant you even answer a question? From your constituancy? What you are doing is called subtrafuge. Its a diversionary tactic used to distract from the essence of the true problem. You refuse to even validate my questions with even so much as a discussion!
There was a group of people who used this tactic and the ruined a lot of people....they were the Nazi's. They blamed the Jews for every problem that they had. Are you going to start accusing me of hindering effort because of my questions? No wait you are already doing that. Well then, are you going to start ostracising me from the group and placing blame on me for being the root cause of all your problems? No, wait. You are already doing that, too.
I guess when people talk to me, (and people like to "vent" to me.) I am not alone in the way that I feel and express myself. I think that Like minded people like me want the same things that I want....a little disclosure, not so much secrecy. This is a organization with members, right. Let us in on it willya!!
I would like to take this time, right now to announce my candidacy for CAC. The voting is conducted during derbyfest. If you are a like minded individual and would like to see some progress. Vote for me. Joe Haynes on your ballots.

Well that would be a proactive stance for you Joe Haynes. Good luck.
Unfortunately the questions that you usually demand an answer for are ones that we at this time can NOT disclose informaiton. Why you can't respect that? You come across veryy demanding Joe and we are not at liberity to disclosue just because you feel that we should. Doesn't work that way. Did you demand J.P. Morgan to disclose that they were taking over Banc One on Tuesday versus their dedicated dislosure date of yesterday? I doubt it.

Dont compare a for profit organization like JP MORGAn( whio I might add is in it for the money) to a NOT FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION like the RRGCC.
