Saturday I worked on the gear placements for 'syncronicity' and got it clean on TR while pulling the gear. My lungs were bleeding when I got to the top. So now that I know I can do it and I have the gear in order, Its all about the head game.......uh oh......
Today was a good day. Started to lead up 'Route 48' Got all messed up on the start. did a new 5.13c variation of the start, pulled through the crux, shit my pants, came down and let my partner lead it the rest of the way!!! That ended my leading for the day and I T/R'ed on 'blue runner' and 'pigs in space'. I did a lot of cleaning on 'pigs in space' Got some of the mud out of the crack with my nut tool. It needs a pressure washer taken to it though. It's a cool route. I'd like to lead it. I've been working on the gear placements on it. Who makes a cam that is one size smaller than a .1 BD?

Man, the weather wasn't bad at all this weekend! Sunday was gorgeous! So much for the bad weather warnings. And tomorrow looks kick ass too.

Roadside had three cars in the lot today. Torrent...not a one. We didn't see any cars in the northern region though Military parking lot had a good many cars in it. It was actually a perfect weekend to climb at the Red.

So who got out?

There was 6 of us at Fortress. I had a fun day. It was nice to get on the rock again.
Belays got chilly in the shade, but the sun peeked out occasionaly. The exposure on top of HB and Bombs was Different this time of year. You can see part of Raven from Bombs.Theres nothing better than sitting on a ledge with a view, just one of my favorite things.
Kudos to Christy,on her first and second trad leads!!
