My point exactly. You say none or not very many of the Reds 13’s have a crux harder than V1/2. I’m not that good at rating or converting, but from what I understand, a V1/2 equals about mid 11 on the YDS system. Which equals soft routes. Thanks man.

How many top boulders have you heard saying they got strong doing routes????
How many top sport climbers have you heard saying they got strong bouldering?
Bouldering by far takes more strength and technique than routes.... Especially compared to "routes" at the Red.
Watching someone climb at the red is like watching a rat run around and around and around in its damn wheel. With enough endurance you can go forever, one hand in front of the other, over and over.
Of course most of the people at the Red don't like bouldering. 90% of you "enduro" climbers couldn't pull a v3 out of your ass if your life depended on it.
