Obviously universities need to move spring break to January.

but in the two week forcast of our March break this first week looks the best for the Red.

Is this for real, you are planning your trip on a 2 week weather forecast!?!? You realize that forecast has zero credibility, right?

I would just take the snow tires off and head further south and end your trip in the Red if conditions improve.
