In the big picture of things this is very minor. Most girlfriends that I've had would've had me in jail by now on some bullshit charge or two.
But yeah, She totally made off with my gear. I thing the only thing that is going to make her come back is that I have her Laptop w/ her master's thesis on it.
The best way to explain it is this: (1) two people decide to go clubbing (2) They decide to take the first parties car to the club(me) (3) the second person decides that she doesn't want to go with the first.(4) she takes the first persons car and goes clubbing without the first person.(5)Leaving the first person to rant all weekend about bitches and ho's!

JH: Sorry that this happened man. Break ups suck and people behave poorly. I'm not privvy to everything that went on mind you, but that's no reason to take someone's stuff and leave them high and dry.
I left a beau once...years ago, before cell phones. We were supposed to go camping at the Red and he was heading down from Cinci. He was an hour and a half late so I took off without him. I was cursing all the way to the Red, got there and realized that I didn't have a flashlight. I tried to walk the trail anyway but couldn't, which pissed me off even more. So I went back to the car and slept. Lo and behold he rolls up at 4 am and knocks on the window. I just screamed at him for about 1/2 hour to leave me the fuck alone. Turns out, he had a whole group of guys with him and they got lost on the way to Lex. So, he had the joy of getting cussed out by his girlfriend in front of all his buddies. Oh and I had the embarrassment of having lost it and a crick in my neck from sleeping in the car. God I love dating! Did I mentiont that this was like 9 years ago?

I did see someone driving down the highway with what appeared to be climbing gear dragging behind on a chain. At first glance, I thought it was a couple of climbers who just go married. When I passed the vehicle, the driver was laughing and had a maniac look in her eyes . . .
In all seriousness, long distance relationships do suck however if this is "the one", do whatever it takes to make it happen. My wife and I made a 483 mile trip just about each weekend while we were dating and I'm thankful we stuck it out.

And licks, too.
And if you're lucky, all at the same time
