the park service doesn't make that distinction.

So that is where I left those. Lets see, the last time I did OJ was easily 10 years ago... that is a sunny southfacing route. A lot of photons have cooked those for years.
Seriously, not mine. I personally have NO compunction about removing old abandoned draws and am not concerned about who they belong to. They are a hazard and I am doing a community service.

Didn't the bolts on OJ just get replaced? Surprised the draws went back on...

I have the same attitude. FYI, I never honestly thought they were your draws Hugh. Your position is well known. My statement was totally tongue in cheek about them being long abandoned.
Also, the bolts are not new on OJ. Most of the lines at FRC have the new glue-ins, but OJ is not one of them. IIRC they are 5-piece with Metolius hangers.

The original poster and their partner actually did us a favor. PLEASE do not leave fixed gear, including draws and trad gear, at Funk Rock City or Wall of Denial, etc. as these Crags are in Clifty Wilderness Area.

Simply, short for gnarly.

Typically referring to pow-pow (powdery snow), a la "shredding the gnar" or "floating the pow-pow".
