HUGE Kong grudge right here, if it's the one I think you're talking about. If I ever send that I'll spray all about it.

Because it always creates the question of where is the route. Kong Is 10a for tall people.
Did you send it yet pee-wee? :P

bcombs wrote:Maybe you are worried that you cannot execute the reverse spray if they don't use the route name? How can you fire back, "I did that in 3 tries too" or "the crux on that felt way easy for me" if you don't know the route they are talking about. It's really just a missed opportunity for yet another hose down, being supplied by the previous hosee.
Reverse spray. Now there's something I've never heard of. Nice Brad.

Yeah, that is another annoying thing--reverse spray. Once I was talking about how I changed my beta on the crux of a route and it finally worked. This guy says, "I didn't notice a crux on that route. It's all jugs isn't it? I just remember going from one jug to the next."

After hosting multiple rounds of climbers from other states visiting the Red, the one comment they all had in common in during the first day or two of their trip was: "Man, people sure do like to SPRAY around here!!"

You can tell the same thing to two different people... to some it will be spray and to others not. It depends on how much they actually care about what you are climbing. It is your job to know if they care or not and comment appropriately.

Spraying to strangers is strange. Why should you care that a stranger knows you sent a route? I dunno, maybe it's because I'm married and have the things/people I need but a stranger knowing I sent a hard line doesn't do anything for me. I guess it's the poor man's equivalent of a Rolex watch or any other ornamental item which serves no purpose. I'm no psychologist though.

Yeah Ray... can you start a blog sharing your weekly trials and tribulations of your sends and non-sends?
