I'm in the same boat. It sucks. I know how you feel.

Dido on this, warming up on 12a, and getting excited for what was to come then "smash"
Warming up on 12a was probably your first mistake.

Letting Gumbie's belay was my critical mistake, warming up on something that's more large holds endurance vs crimpy even if its harder.

I had two that I was really close on, but didn't quite get.

Nicorette - Know every move, one hung it two or three times, but just haven't put it to bed yet. Precise hand/foot placement is so critical at the start of the route...

Check your grip - Another one that I have one hung two or three times. Just lacking a bit of endurance to get through the whole thing.

Gave up on BOHICA. Completely over my head. I was never close so it didn't hurt too bad to let it go.

Was making steady progress on my super secret over-hanging project when the weather took it away from me. I've got most of it wired and play it over and over in my head most everyday. It's probably a good thing that I'm off it now so I can train a little harder and more specific, come back in the Spring and work for the send.

I also failed to unlock the cruxes on two other sport routes.

But my biggest failure was probably in timing. I was having so much fun working that I forgot to climb until it was late in the season, thinking that I would have through December. Mother Nature spanked me this year.

Dude I find that really hard to believe. You've sent some shit this year waaaay harder than that line.

same here. actually felt like the whole game was kinda coming back after a long self inflicted break. finally got truly amped to climb again, been bolting like crazy for new stuff to climb in december and then smacked down with inches of snow and single digit temps....its not even winter yet...
