That is the Barker Branch fire that started on private property Monday night. It is threatening the transmission corridor that supplies electricity to most of Wolfe Co. thus eliciting an aggressive response.

Ok, does anyone know why the Forest Service employees who witnessed these guys running from the campsite only to escape in their vehicle were unable to apprehend them? Or at least get a tag number? I mean, it's not like there are lots of ways to escape that area by highway is there? just curios....

Not trying to insult here but I have not scene very many forest service employees that look like they would be in any kind of shape to put on a serious foot chase.

The perps were never caught as far as I am aware. The USFS has applied for funds usually only used out west to help address the impacts of the fire.
