Do you love your life?

I'm over the top happy at not working and having plenty of time for climbing, but I'm over the top unhappy about what I'm going to do when unemployment runs out...

I think you're still enjoying the honeymoon Pigsteak - give it time and you'll be gazing out the window longingly on a Wednesday, during a crisp Spring day, yearning to be lost in the woods, alone...

But as for the question you ask. Yes, I love my life. It's good. Some mornings I wish for different things (albeit small) but when the evening is finished I can almost always reflect with a smile.

And like Krampus, you gotta keep it all in perspective.

One would think 80 hrs work week would suck, and that person would be close to the truth.
Other than the drain my job puts on my family (mostly my wife, who does everything for the family and I do little secondary to work), I love my job, but I miss, miss, miss, the warm stone and the quiet crag and being with a care free culture.
I have no work life balance.

I'd appreciate specifics from folks...why does your work life suck or not suck. why is your life outside of work great or sucky? this isn't about whining about where we are , but about challenging us to start living...

Well said, Caribe. You can't generalize a whole country, the gap between rich and poor is Large, in Africa and here. That said, Mack5 did make a good point...we all (for the most part that I know of, on the board) have shelter, food, and the ability to go beyond the immediate demands of survival and find time to climb--Definitely a reason to be very thankful.
