wes, that book (fight club) is about realizing that your life is not ruled by physical possessions. i think you inadvertently proved huff's point.

for example:

"Where you are now you can't even imagine what the bottom will look like
Only after disaster can we be resurrected
Its only after you have lost everything that you are free to do anything"
he's talking about letting go of everything that we've been told we need to "collect" throughout our lives to justify our existence here.

"I say you have to give up
I say evolve"

A story is not one-sided.
A story has duality. There's two sides to every story.
Which brings to mind the phrase "necessary evil".
I know many of you hear that phrase and say,
"That don't even make no sense to me.
"Can't be no such thing as necessary - how's evil necessary?
"That don't match. That's plaids and stripes, evil and necessary."
You see, because without bad, there is no good.
Without light, there is no dark, you need both these things.
You hear what I'm saying?

My point is that there is no reason to read more into it than that. Just as with "love, hate, anger, that feeling when you send, the contenment of being successful in life and on and on".

Personally, I think perving this thread has made it less likely for me to make any sort of dramatic existential progress today.

I didn't even notice this the first time through. So your friends who were also on hallucinogens verified that you had transcended into the 4th dimension and it wasn't due to the hallucinogens you were on at the time? Interesting.....
