not in the red, the jessamine/fayette/garred county all have a ton of good caves, they will be in prime season round about July, as they can be quite wet this time of year. the bigest one i've ever seen at the red, though is the one at natural bridge. Rocktown, though, has a huge cave, or so i've been told

Caving is not a rest day! It is hard damn work. It is generally cold and wet. Not to mention dark. Snakes generally do not go into the deeper parts of a cave ( but not always). If you wnat a rest day go hiking or biking or drinking.

Cloud Splitter is a cool cave with glowing moss. It's a must to camp on top. Fond memories.

pm bp_968, if he's still around. He's a caver, and knows where to go.

Also, out my way there are LOTS of big caves. One near my house is 9 miles long, and as close to cinci as the red. Check out the Harrison-Crawford count grotto.
I went into a big wet cave with them, it was grand. Water up to your neck, crawling across old truck fames ove chasms of unknown depths. Great fun.

the one at cloud splitter, is that the big crack that runs out to a big hole on the side of the cliff?
