It's great to see that people who weren't there and don't know anything about it can conclude that the guy is an idiot. I'm sure that people like, tomdarch, et al have never made a mistake. There were several mistakes made that day, and the guy is aware of them. We all makes mistakes, hopefully we learn from them.

I know the guy is fine because, I am the "guy". I have a pain in my back, getting better day by day, and an embarassig story to tell. I hope it is not your turn next!!
Don't get your back up (so to speak  ) about my use of the term "natural selection." I'm practically blind without glasses/contacts - thus, a defeat for natural selection. I make mistakes all the time and there's always a chance I'll hit something on the way down from one of them! (I'm thinking of one situation where I was stuck in an akward 'pod' on Bastille Crack with my last peice 15 feet below me and a big ledge 5 feet below that - mistake!)

It's good to hear that you're fine, and to know that you've got video to see exactly what went wrong.

Montan lives, whew, I had nightmares of internal bleeding and fractured vertebrae. I figured some damn plaintiff's attorney would wheel your ass into a deposition and claim that you injured yourself at work while filling out a TPS report and that you were entitled to a lifetime of various disability payments. But I digress from another Friday at work.

Yes, we all make mistakes in our lives, some of those involve the cruel mistress we call gravity. So. . . .how was the video of the fall and is it going to be in the next climbing video?

You would think after it had a boulder that size land on it that it wouldn't be safe.

Oh well, shows what I know.

Johnny was taking falls in Obed on it yesterday, so far so good !
