for those of you who are wondering what tools to bring, we could use use mattocks, rakes, shovels, buckets for carrying rocks, loppers, etc. and if you have a chainsaw and are experienced using it, that would be helpful. Just remember, if you cut off one of your own limbs, well, that'll suck for you! :lol:

Where in the PMRP are you meeting? Can you describe what types of projects you have planned?

we're now meeting at Lago's at 9 am since work crews will be sent to both parking areas of the PMRP. if you want in on the food, you'll have to register today. i'm pretty sure they're placing the food order this afternoon (if it hasn't already been placed). www.rrgcc.org

there are too many projects to list.

Well listing a project seems a hell of a lot easier than actually doing it. If there are too many to list, then there are WAY too many to complete. Why don't you humor us with your top 5?

I've been to a few events like this in the past that were a complete waste of time, and even counterproductive in some cases. For some of us it's a long drive and big time commitment, so I don't think it's too much to ask what we'll be doing.

Trail work in the pmrp, I think they have a couple different areas that need work. Regardless of how much work gets done (usually more then enough) the after party is enough reason to come down, in and of, itself. So, put in half day on the trails, then wash off in the lake and on the slip and slide, drink beer, eat food, listen to good music, etc.

This year is the 5th year of this event. Don’t worry about what trails need work, or if it will be well organized. If you can make it, do it.

I want to thank EVERYONE who is volunteering for this event. I was in shock this morning when I ran the numbers and am truly delighted. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Mike, it sounds like you couldn't possibly have been at this event last year. We accomplished an extraordinary amount of work. People worked their asses off, both in planning and executing the work projects. This year will be no different :D

Here are the top 3 major projects:
-Construct a new trail between Drive By and Bob Marley crags.
-Crossroads, install signage, maintain existing trails, build some new trails.
-Darkside, remove downed trees from trail and re-establish switchback where large tree fell.
