That was a great story Ascentionist! I have to deal with that kind of crap all the time with local guide services as well. It is even worse when a couple of non-gumby climbers encourage this same kind of behavior just to make a few bucks.

"crag dog rules"? since I have two dogs, please give me the list so I can let them in on it.

southern region requires your dog being in your control, so "letting them be dogs" IS NOT a good idea.

I know, walking around people on the trail makes me go absolutely bananas! I mean, you have to say excuse me, or wait a couple seconds, or (and this is not for the faint of heart) even venture slightly off trail

Also very good point. I just don't see whats annoying about something that shits everywhere, eats shit, eats my food and steps on my rope.

If your not a gumby, then why are you climbing at gumby areas? I don't really see the issue here

I've had similiar parties at Solar Collector. Easy climbs in that corner area, plenty of space to hang out and party with up to twenty of your closest climbing friends.

i'm sorry i didn't realize that the gorge was so kind as to alway put easy climbs in one are and hard one's in another? i know this is often the case, but certainly not always.

so how often are you waiting in line for your "hard climb" because a guide has their group on it. I'll be sure to find out where your going when I take some coworkers out in a few weeks
