red is better than the new. the red is famous for its steep shit but has plenty of good face climbs too (funk rock, sky bridge ridge, super slab). the new is famous for its good face climbs, but the steep routes there are poop. Even if take the glory hole, put it on top of the coliseum and then throw the cirque in there, it still wont be half as good as the motherlode. Basically, if you are at the red and you are looking for an endless wall style climb of the same quality, you can find it. But if you are at the new, and you want to climb something like the madness, then you are better off heading to cathedral and spraying about how organic your cup of joe is.

Some people call it Red, some call it the Gorge. We know who you are.
The New crushes the gorge for trad.

Who gives a shit? Hey. You see that crack? I'm going to climb it. But I'm going to do it with ground-up ethics as I struggle up this 5.9. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad there is trad. Trad works out for me like Roadside and Muir work out for the rest of the "Red" or "Gorge" : It keeps all the gumbies out of where I'm climbing.

so you're not comparing the long wall to endless wall and I am not saying the new is better than the red.

that's good, it's a pointless argument. the endless wall is way to long anyway

Although the Red is hardly a "gorge" compared to the New. Can someone tell me where the actual gorge is at the red river gorge?
the fact that the "gorge" may not be clearly apparent as a cleft in the earth does not detract from the fact that it is indeed a "gorge" carved into the terrain by the "Red" 8)

ah yes the New is much better than the Red. Why don't you... I mean, we all go there instead of the Red... See you there! Can you swing by here and give all these other folks a ride too?
