Those bags are awesone! They're free, and they practically last forever. I love them so much that I can't stand throwing them away. I keep 'em around and use them several times before recycling them.

I just resort to bagging myself. They're mostly idiots

Am I the only one that cringes when the bagger doesn't separate the raw meats from the rest of the groceries?

Yeah, the chicken's wrapped in plastic and all, but the last thing I need is salmonella in my peanut butter.

Oh...wait....

It really get on my nerves when they put a two liter in two plastic bags. It's not like it won't make the walk to my car. What is the deal with most Americans and using things in excess. Something else that really gets me is when you are in a fastfood restaraunt and the person next to you grabs like 50 napkins uses three of them and throws the rest away, poor trees giving there lives for nothing.

I've found lately at Whole Foods I might have 6-7 items where I could stack them and carry them out but a bag might make it easier... the cashier asks if I need a bag with an undertone of .. please don't use one. Don't mind it at all. Whole Foods has actually given me a couple of their reusable bags. Heard about legislation to implement a charge for each bag used at the grocery. Is that just a Colorado thing?

. . and you might get away with some cool stuff in your pockets by accident. hahaha.

But really, those Chicobags http://www.chicobag.com/ are great and take a beatin' well. And as a knitting dork, I found patterns for expandable bags too, to hold a lot and spare the excess waste of plastic bags.

my personal favorite is when the cashier asks me if I want my bread in a bag... to which i get a confused look on my face and state... "no thanks, it's already in a bag."

they always seem stumped by that one.

of course, now we mostly bake our own bread, which solves the problem all together.

you just say that bc I hide when you come into the gear shop, Larry! ;) but really, here, if you bring your own bags to the grocery store you get like 10 cents/bag off your total. and not just the tree hugger joints neither. albertsons and safeway and shit too!
