i know there's not really any way around this, but anyone have suggestions for printing the registration needed for vehicles? i know most of us don't have access to printers while at the red, but i would REALLY love to climb at torrent again.

you could ask to pay to print stuff at Miguels possibly. i've wondered about that same problem.

And/or some of us have internet access at the Red via blackberry/iPhone and camp. (Even if I brought both a printer and a power inverter to run the printer off the car cigarette jack, there isn't a way to print from an iPhone ... but I don't know about a Blackberry - maybe via bluetooth to a laptop? Hmmm...)

I have to assume that the way this system is intended to work is: someone wakes up in their bed in/near Lexington - staggers over to computer - goes to website - registers - prints page - breakfast, etc - drives to the Red/Torrent... (I guess this would also work for people in the Cincinnati metro area)

I haven't been through the process, so I don't know what information is on the page that is supposed to be printed and displayed. Is there a critical piece of info (like a unique identifier code) that could be hand written on paper and displayed in the parked car window?

(Pardon my griping - even if I never actually get to climb at Torrent again, it's still great that it is open! Thanks to Bob and all the other folks who made this happen!)

Sorry that I didn't get the codes entered for Thursday. I was at work by 5 am and didn't get off til nearly 7 pm ... I am a slug. Sorry about the inconvenience of a printer, I'm ok with just writing the code on a piece of paper and placing it on the dash. My main concern, beyond abuse of the property, is to try to ensure that individuals entering the property have at least looked at the rules and the waiver. In the past 8 months I have deconstructed 3 fire rings under the 11 wall, I have picked up a lot of trash and people continue to use the rock houses as their bathroom ... it smells like the back end of a questionable bar in New Orleans (I've been there) and the "social trails between the 11 and 12 wall continue to wear down. If you have concerns or problems call or e-mail me and I will try to address them. I would love it if this were my job but it's not and there are other things that have priority.

Also the "F" word and all its cousins are allowed as long as the users have an appreciation of the etymology of the words they use and use them in the appropriate manner.
