One of my coworkers just lost (and found) his dog yesterday. He broke through his own electric dog fence, then got zapped by other dog fences (apparently that brand was popular in his neighbourhood), then got stuck inside another electric fence at a neighbours house. It was totally freaked out and hiding under a motorcycle trailer.

at one point i had a dane that was trying to break THROUGH my 6" privacy fence. there was a dog on the other side and for some reason she wanted to kill him. (or vice versa?) i was advised to put an electric (not invisible) fence on the inside to prevent her from reaching the fence. the electric fence would not run out of batteries/power - she could clearly see/avoid it - and it would prevent her from tearing down the fence.

so maybe that would work for bailey. or if you really like the invisible fence idea - install it on the inside of the current fence so it prevents her from reaching the fence.

I had a dog once that learned it could break through the invisible fence. It would take it an hour or two to work up the nerve then it would run for it, yelping and barking until it was out of range. I would have to turn off the fence and wait a day or two for him to come back. It seemed like a waste of money to me.

Okay, finally I can get back to you: my friend used a Pet Safe brand wireless fence. If you Google for "Pet Safe wireless" it should bring back some good results.
