I have never had a problem digging a hole with a stick. On that note, when I am at a popular crag I do always have this nagging fear of unburrying someone elses poo.

Or stepping on a snake? By the way do you wear sandals to the crag anymore??krampus wrote:I have never had a problem digging a hole with a stick. On that note, when I am at a popular crag I do always have this nagging fear of unburrying someone elses poo.
Dude, you are out of your mind. I carry the orange shovel to the crag and look like an idiot when I'm hunting for a spot. But, I will not bury someone else's poop with my shovel. That goes way beyond my duty to practice LNT. If anyone says they bury other people's crap for them they are lying. Unless you make German porno, then it could get a little ... well .... messy!anticlmber wrote:so my question to the crowd at large is where are the poop shovels. granted it's VERY EASY to dig in the dirt with a good stick but i don't see too many shovels hanging off packs. not calling anyone out just asking.
secondly if you DO have a shovel with you, why not bury the offending poo?? i know that sounds gross but i'm not saying eat it or pick it up but get rid of it. it would be the same as picking up someone else's garbage. sure it's not your trash BUT, it is your home crag, (hell even if it isn't) and we need to ALL do OUR part to help keep it clean.
discuss.
