as a kid, when dogs tried to chase me i would turn and face them, make eye-contact, wait until they were pretty close (if they hadn't backed off already), and then raise my hand up really fast like i was gonna throw something. 9/10 times they would stop, then run away. i do, however, suggest that you have a back-up plan for that 10th dog that doesn't give a shit if you throw something at them. :shock:

In nursing school they told us that the further away from the brain the bite is, the longer the symptoms of rabies occur...you may want to think about getting checked out. Though he deserved it, at least it wasn't like the time I was at El Potrerro Chico and watched my ex get bit in the leg by a stray!!!

rais your foot like you are about to doa crane kick, that way if the dog jumps at you you can kick it in the nose, and your foot is probably to big to fit in its mouth lenthwise.

Note: This method is not yet tested so tell me how it works.
